that you may be sons
This is something I am so guilty of...hating my enemies instead of loving them. The enemies of God are everywhere, not just the homosexual, the abortionist, the murderer, the thief, but also all unbelievers. But we should love them. Jesus said:
43 "You have heard that it was said, 'You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.'
44 But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you,
45 that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust."

I want to be known as a son of the Father. So I will love my neighbor and my enemy.
LORD, increase my love.
Help me to love as You love,
To hate sin, and pursue holiness.
man, recognizing enemies and unbelievers as co-image bearers first, and, thus, worthy of our respect, before seeing them as sinners changes everything, i think

I don't want to react to a person based on his sin, but realize that whether neighbor or outright enemy, I need to love him.
