sticker
Hey has anyone seen these things? It's mindless fun. And I enjoy mindlessness from time to time.
ok so speaking of mindless, i'm losing mine.
what do you do with these when you're done making them? is it kind of like the ability to create a little banner/ad thing for your blog or for certain events/people/links on your blog? how do you plan to implement?
Nice work, Jbo. 8o)
Posted by: Benjamin at October 31, 2003 10:05 AMTo use these little banners you have to save them from the sticker page to your harddrive then upload them to a server. Then they are treated as an image.
par example:
img alt="yoursticker.py" src="http://www.yourwebsite.com/you/archives/stickers/yoursticker.py" width="134" height="21" border="0" /
i get that part i think. but well what do you do with them? i mean are they so you can make banners/ads/award buttons on your pages? sorry joy bit-dense today.
Posted by: joy at October 31, 2003 01:39 PMI think that's why I said "mindless fun." I have noticed them used mid paragraph on other blogs for emphasis or in titles. They can be used as links in sidebars, etc. Their application is probably up to the creativity of the user.
So if you are having an off day, give yourself a break and you might come up with a use later. If not, I don't think it's anything to be too upset over. I just thought they were "nifty," as it were.
I'm not even sure I have any plans to use them. Oh, I am thinking of putting a birthday list up, so I might use them there.
