who is like the LORD?

Found an answer in Micah.

MICAH 6:6-8

With what shall I come to the LORD
And bow myself before the God on high?
Shall I come to Him with burnt offerings,
With yearling calves?

Does the LORD take delight in thousands of rams,
In ten thousand rivers of oil?
Shall I present my firstborn for my rebellious acts?
The fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?

He has told you, O man, what is good:
And what does the LORD require of you
But to do justice, to love kindness
And to walk humbly with your God?

I'm afraid this has no relation to your post......but I wasn't sure where else to post it.

If you haven't looked already, seriesofdoors.com is available. ;-) I'm sure if you were willing to pay for the domain and pay Ben a bit for hosting, he'd be happy to let you have your weblog at your own domain. :-) (if not, contact me about it....but contact Ben first....just wanted to suggest the domain thing not get business :-)

I don't think I've heard it, Hillary.
But I do like hymns based on actual Scripture text, there's this piece by Howells based on the Magnificat of Luke 1. You'll have to hear it sometime. The Micah passage is perfect, it reminds me of the text "my yoke is easy and my burden is light" in that the Lord doesn't ask the impossible of us, just to obey.

Andrew, I had thought about switching over, and I should have before I started hacking away with my design, there's some pretty nasty markup going on in the Archive templates, so I'll wait until all of it's consolidated. Thanks for the suggestion.
And, no, you haven't been pigeon-holed as a souless, money-oriented robot (or should I say ANDroid) yet. :P

While I haven't done much recently, I spent a solid two months hacking Movable Type's innards (templates, MT tags, a little bit of CSS, etc).

If you want me to, I could send you my various template files (which all the weblogs use.....how I get continuity with the sidebar on all the weblogs, etc.).

The Movable Type manual is really quite good.....I'd recommend reading all of it...especially the part about template tags.

Isaiah 37:15
And Hezekiah prayed unto Jehovah, saying,
16 O Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel, that sittest above the cherubim, thou art the God, even thou alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth; thou hast made heaven and earth.
17 Incline thine ear, O Jehovah, and hear; open thine eyes, O Jehovah, and see; and hear all the words of Sennacherib, who hath sent to defy the living God.
18 Of a truth, Jehovah, the kings of Assyria have laid waste all the countries, and their land,
19 and have cast their gods into the fire: for they were no gods, but the work of mens hands, wood and stone; therefore they have destroyed them.
20 Now therefore, O Jehovah our God, save us from his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that thou art Jehovah, even thou only.

Psalm 86:8
Among the gods there is none like unto thee, O Lord; neither are there any works like unto thy works.
9 All nations whom thou hast made shall come and worship before thee, O Lord; and shall glorify thy name.
10 For thou art great, and doest wondrous things: thou art God alone.
