bigbluehat

The new and improved bigbluehat.com site is up and running. I'd love to get feedback from you all on what you think about it, what could be improved, and anything else you might see that you think would be a help.

Business has been going well these past few weeks. It was kind of slow there at the beginning. I've learned many lessons about waiting on the Lord. He truely does renew our strength.

Thank you all for your prayers and encouragement. There still greatly needed. 8o)

Beta Testing

I'm beta testing an early version of the new TypePad application from SixApart (the makers of MoveableType).

It's been a wonderful first expereience. I'm very impressed with the interface and definitely like the new features. You can see the fruits of my labor at the new HatShop. Feel free to comment and TrackBack on both these blogs.

I'm not sure how long the HatShop will be up and running, but TypePad definitely looks like a promising application for future blogging. Especially for those who want a more robust site (photo albums, friends, links, books lists to name a few features).

Amazing Love

Have you ever had one of those moments when you know you being cared for by the Creator of the World? I think it must be akin to the feeling that Elijah's servant had when the Lord opened his eyes so that he could see the heavenly army.

I just enjoyed such a revelation.

I finished my work at Bob Jones University recently. I have worked there for the past nine or ten years. For most of those years I have been dreaming about creating my own business.

Over the past few years I've been creeping closer and closer to doing just that. Today, is my first full day of work for myself. That sentence, however, seems heretical now that I know what's really happening.

I'm not working for myself. I'm work for the Loving Creator of the Universe.

Of course I've "known" that, but knowing is often very different from experiencing or even understanding.

The revelation of God's Love for us is most evident when everything (for at least a moment) comes together. We understand our purpose, we see His hand in events of the past, we feel His presence in the last few moments, and know that His care will be there in the future even when we don't feel it.

I do this Truth little justice with this entry, but I had to write something to tell anyone who reads this that:

There is a Loving, Creator God who so passionately Loves your soul that He cares for you every need from beginning to end. He does "above and beyond all that we ask or think." His greatness is past finding out. We exist for His glory and nothing else.

Ultimatum

Well folks, it seems the WaSP is bit miffed by the Microsoft announcement not to release any more free browsers. A couple weeks back Microsoft announced that they would no longer distribute free, downloadable upgrades to Internet Explorer. From now on any new release will be integrated into each new version of Windows or MSN on the Mac.

This little article from the WaSP touches on some points of contention in the "standards" supporting IE.

End of Free IE Not the End of Web Standards

As stated in the article, there is still hope for web technology standardization. It just probably won't come from Microsoft (surprised?).
