Two new bloggers...

In the past two weeks we have recently had two new members join the bensfriends.com site: Kayleigh and Aratur.

Kaleigh, our first non-US member, began blogging last week. She has gotten off to a good start with three blogs on a range of topics. I'm looking forward to reading more in the near future.

The Aratur blog was added two days ago. It is the home of the thoughts of a very, very close friend of mine... ...my mom. 8o) She is a professional writer as well as a speech teacher at BJ. She's been a wonderful mother and friend, but I'll let you read more about that on her blog. 8o)

A lack of information...

I'm currently backing up my hard drive at work. As the ever too slow process of copying files continues on it's merry way, I began to consider my file "organization." It's logical... ...to a point.

I have a folder called "projects". Inside that folder, I have three folders call "completed", "current", and "dropped". Each with contents appropriate to their names... ...at least to a point. I often find that I have projects in my current folder that have been dropped or completed, or I find projects in the completed and dropped folder that have been brought back into the queue to be current again.

Beyond that I noticed that I have tons of folders with seemingly descriptive names that are only as descriptive as what I remember about thos names.

Then it hit me. The Epiphany of the day! What if I had stored a ton of information in the folders about each of these projects! That would be the day... I could have stored who the project was for, when they wanted it, the tasks I needed to do, how many of those I had done, what was left to be done, when did they cancel the project (if they did), and maybe even a short description of what all is involved.

Tons of information that would be very useful if...

But alas, the information didn't get stored. I wonder why? Was I in a hurry? Did I have other projects waiting to be done? Was the process of collecting that information too insurmountable at the time? Would I have done it if the method of gathering it had been better?

I'm not really sure. 8o) I would like to have the opportunity to try though. 8o)

I know some ways to solve the problem. Now to the implementation, but more on that later. 8o)

They have returned!

The bloggers are back. 8o) The Morris blog had been experiencing some technical difficulties, but is now in working order. The JBo blog also has a recent update that is well worth reading. Our other member, tennie of Ubertati, is still traveling the central states. She has told me, however, that she has a blog planned and is eagerly awaiting the opportunity to post it. 8o)

So all in all, the blogging community here is doing well. I would enjoy hearing from the rest of you at some point. I'd also like many of you to start one. 8o)

I consider it one of the many synaptic links in the Body of Christ. Read "And you have time for this because..." entry on the Morris blog for further clarification. 8o)

On Ephesians 2:6

Because we are in Christ we are seated with Him in the heavenly places. Our membership in His body puts us currently in Heaven. Even though we live on this earth and are in exile and parted from the One we Love, we are still with Him spiritually. When Christ pleads for us to the Father we are there as well. When He tells with joy of the sanctification of His Bride we are there. When He is saddened by our failing to serve Him we are still there kept in His Love.

"With" in that verse seems to have more transcendent kind of meaning. Not just the "with" of physical proximity, but the "with" of our position and place as His Bride.
