tagged but responding late...sorry jen!

I have to choose five, state why I would be that and then tag other people so here it goes!

The “occupations”:

If I could be a scientist…If I could be a farmer…If I could be a musician… If I could be a doctor… If I could be a painter… If I could be a gardener… If I could be a missionary… If I could be a chef… If I could be an architect… If I could be a linguist… If I could be a psychologist… If I could be a librarian… If I could be a lawyer… If I could be an inn-keeper… If I could be an athlete… If I could be a professor… If I could be a writer… If I could be a llama-rider…If I could be a mail carrier… If I could be a bonnie pirate… If I could be an astronaut… If I could be a world famous blogger… If I could be a justice on any one court in the world… If I could be a circus ringmaster… If I could be a professional knitter… If I could be an interior designer… If I could be a lunch-lady…

If I could be a farmer, I would walk around all day either barefoot or with really nifty Rocky boots and wear a John Deere hat and wear overalls. I would walk barefoot (in Ohio) because I love feeling the wonderful black dirt on my feet. I love feeling the thick healthy grass and yes, even the occasional bee....If I was a farmer I would hobnob with the locals at breakfast discussing all sorts of crop desieses and the almanac and who has the best cattle in the area. It would also be HIGHLY necessary for me to drive a red pickup truck, because if I didn't I don't know if I would be accepted by the elite society of farmers. If I was a farmer I would raise cattle cause that reminds me of my Pa Pa. I would keep a million cats in the barn and have at least five dogs to keep me company while I was making my fence checks around the property.

If I could be a painter I would go to the ocean and paint it. Then I would go to a grassy field and paint that. Because it fascinates me how many colors there really are in water and in grass. All the millions of beautiful greens in the world. Then I would paint a picture of a person. It would be a Muslim man wearing many colors of the rainbow. Then I would backpack around the word painting wherever I went not caring who bought my paintings and going for the sheer pleasrue of it.

If I could be a bonnie pirate, I would name my ship The Green Devil and be called Cap'n by all my mates. I would sail the high seas making people walk the plank right and left (but there would always be a safety net below cause I would be a BONNIE pirate, see?) shivering me timbers and making other people swab the deck ya' mangy currs to my hearts content! I would hire Cory as my personal Pirate-speak teacher and we would have lessons every Wednesday at 3:00 PM. If I were a pirate I would also hire Smee. I have always enjoyed Smee. He deserved better than hook. Also I would wear a bandana, have a patch over one eye, have a peg leg named Joseph and have a parrot that spoke Elizabethan English called Sir Percy.

If I could be a librarian, I would make sure that the children's section would ocupy a top floor. You would only be able to access it thru a spiral staircase painted green. There would be squishy chairs to sit on and books of all kinds. I would not hush the kids and I would NOT provide computers for them to play. In fact, my whole library would have a ban on computers. I would keep a card catalogue and use the stamps that make a loud noise and use red ink. I would wear horn rimmed glasses and wear cartigans and look sort of like Meg Ryan. I would have story hour and make magic there. I would have beautiful books in my library. Hand picked by me from yard sales, estate sales, going out of business sales, all sorts of sales. I would go to London and buy books like a mad woman. Oh, my library would be in a house. A stone cottage with a white picket fence, huge trees all around with a garden in the back with benches all around to read. There would be a gurggling stream with a pond at the back.

If I could be an interior designer, I would paint the world's walls green and blue. I would have unlimited resources to decorate how I wanted, and I WOULD look thru garage sales, flea markets, trash days in ritzy neighborhoods and the like. I would only decorate houses I loved for people that I loved. I would use my aforesaid painting skills to do amazing things to blank, sad walls.

So there you have it. I tag Heidi; Steph , and Tim cause I really would love to know what they want to be when they grow up. =)
