best birthday present ever

My sister gave me a present this morning that was amazing. I couldn't believe it. At first I was skeptical and wasn't sure if I would like it, but I can't stop thinking about it or listening to it. I HIGHLY reccomend it to anyone and everyone. She got me the CDs, but if you can't afford them, get the Bible.

work converations

Heidi is sick. Not as in nasty, but as in she doesn't feel well. Me, being the kind hearted person that I am decided to bring her some TWININGS (mind you) Red Bush tea. It is a personal favorite. And I felt so bad for her cause she sounds like a mix between a fog horn and a goose.

So here goes our conversation after making the tea.

Heidi in a monotone voice with a slight twinge of derision: "It smells like Africa."

Hill being the optimist that she is: "Doesn't that just make you feel wonderful?! It is like you are traveling to Africa!"

Heidi with a more pronounced twinge of derision and now sarcasm added in: "I don't know if I like Africa."

afternoon on a hill

I will be the gladdest thing
Under the sun!
I will touch a hundred flowers
And not pick one.

I will look at cliffs and clouds
With quiet eyes,
Watch the wind bow down the grass,
And the grass rise.

And when lights begin to show
Up from the town,
I will mark which must be mine,
And then start down!

changes

My life is full of changes right now. The other day I was having a very hard time accepting all of them, and bemoaning the fact that I had to start letting go of all I had held dear and the things that were comfortable and familiar. I expressed this to a very kind and wise person and was roundly rebuked at her answer.

"Sometimes it's really hard to move forward when the place you are is so
comfortable, but God doesn't particularly want us to be comfortable. If we are
for too long we get complacent and become useless to Him and to ourselves. He wants us to keep stretching and growing.

I wonder at times what He has in store for you.....what are your desires, your
passions, your goals for God? Are you going to be a teacher, a missionary, a
businesswoman? What direction is it that He is pointing you in? Have you
thought much about those things? Probably you've thought about them a lot but haven't come to any conclusions yet. I pray for you every day, that God will give you His direction and open His plan to you."

She also told me told me something that someone told her once. How do you drive a parked car? How can God direct me and lead me if I am not moving in ANY direction? If I am moving, at least He can open and close doors, direct me in the way He chooses. But no, I am being stubborn and sitting in my parked car thinking I have everything I need right there. God isn't taking things away from me, as I thought. He is pushing me into movement. He is kicking out my crutches and guiding me. And I had never thought of it that way. I was sitting in my little world feeling sorry for little me cause I wasn't getting what I wanted and loosing what I did want, and then He sent me an angel of mercy to gently remind me that He loves me and wants what is best for me. He wants His best, not mine.

And that is the exciting part. My best is so piddly and sorry compared to His wonderful Best. His Best involves Him. I am getting nervous, and excited to see what He has in store for me. Please pray with me as I start my car and put it in drive. I don't know what direction I will be taking, a few hints but nothing clear. I think this will be one big step of faith into nothing I know as familiar, but as eMom said, "It's like a big adventure and the tour guide is the Lord!"

send me anywhere

Ratnam Raju wrote:
Greetings to you in the mighty name of our lord Jesus
Christ.

I know lord will guide you and help you while you read
about my ministry.

I am pastor Ratnam, 23 years, serving the lord in the
coastal line of Bay of Bengal, South India. Working
with Tribes, Fisherman And untouchable Communities.
When I was 18 years old lord had talked to me and said
come I will make you fish for people if you follow me.
That’s a great encouragement and a great lift for me
to lift his name in the crowds and in the rural and
the urban areas. After you read this letter if you get
any guidance through this letter please pass this
letter to your friends and to you neighbors, to your
family members to your church members so that they can
read and know about my ministry. And do that need full
to this divine ministry. God bless u.

I have a clear vision to reach the unreached people
groups in the remote areas and rural and urban areas
with the good news of Jesus Christ.

I have a burden to help and to care the Widows and
Orphan Children to lead them to the throne of Grace.
As per James: 1:27

this area 90% of the people is living under the
poverty line. Most of them were seasonal agricultural
laborers. This area agricultural systems are fully
depended on Monsoon rainfalls, we have water resourses
but we don’t have water management.
As I am serving the lord I find the people from
fisherman colonies these fisherman are really innocent
and they believe the sea is their mother god, they
worship Sea and Snakes and goddesses and their
ancestors. Women having the strong role in their
family systems, the women will go to the market and
sell the fish and, she manages the whole family. In
the fisherman the women and men will consume Alcohol.
The fisherman children were mostly neglected because
the act of their parents, in such area, their lives
were transformed by the mighty power of the Holy
Ghost.

This part of India every year hit with cyclones and
with natural disaster like floods and tsunami. Every
year hundreds of villages washing away with floods, In
many families they lost their many men will lost their
wives many women lost their husbands and many children
lost their parents. The children stories in this part,
are very pathetic. These orphans are totally neglected
and rejected by all means. The Orphan children
relatives make them as slaves. No protection for the
children, they sleep on the roadsides they die on the
road sides no one care of them pray for these little
ones. I want to run an Orphanage with these orphan
children. Pray for this. I know lord will open doors.

The widow women of this part, having many pathetic
stories, the young women forcefully joins in sex
business by their family relatives, many times she
raped by the village gangsters. The middle-aged widow
also teased by the society and raped by the gangsters,
if she have children really they suffers a lot lake of
food and clothing. The aged widow is neglected women
and the people always curse her to DIE, who will give
you and who will feed you, many aged widows were
panelized some have cancer some have Tuber Colossi,
some have infected fevers, because of lack of proper
treatment and compassion, really these women are
suffering and Suffering, pray for them.

I am praying and working for this people because, God
So loved the World and gave his begotten Son. John :
3:16.

This part of India is a safe place, the doors are
open, and the millions are hungry for the word of God.
JESUS SAID -" Harvest is Plentiful, Still we need of
Laborers" Pray to prepare many young man and women to
send into the harvest before our lord Second coming.
Pray to start a Bible School to train many young
people.

Pray for my Ministry. At present we are working in
unreached areas had no travel facilities and we need
vehicle to reach the people with good news. So, please
pray for this need. My congregations and my
co-labourers are praying for u. I believe it is my
divine opportunity to have fellowship with you through
Internet. Pray for me, And for my ministry. Involve in
Our Ministry through Spiritually, Financially and
Physically to reach many poor people who need help.
God bless u.

Please, Feel Free to write me.

Pastor Ratnam. (E-Mail:[email protected])
