Stupid error messages no. 1

You have to wonder sometimes at the inanity (not sure if that's a word or not) of error messages. Take this one for example. I was running Windows Update this morning at work. My computer had dutifully downloaded an update that Microsoft claimed was an urgent fix to a gaping security hole. While trying to install it, I get told that the update hadn't been approved for my OS. You (Microsoft) wrote the program that my computer used to find the update and download it automagically. It's supposed to be a service to the user. What do you mean the file can't be installed?!? Grrr...

The savage beast has now been quieted. We will resume our peaceful, non-posting existence. Please pardon the interruption.
