Got a call last Thursday to provide food and drink for a film crew that was
flying into Jackson for five hours to get a shot of a cowboy atop a galloping
horse. It was a shoot for a new Southern Bell campaign.
The director was none other than Michael Bay.
His most recent directorial effort was The Island.
All those times I had made fun of him for Pearl Harbor and Armageddon.
His pro persona commanded my respect and rebuked my petty arrogance.
The poor guy looked sick. Like ashen face, have’nt slept in 3 years sick.
The price for being a billion dollar director.
His “I’m taking my self too serious” force field was too strong to get within reach of him for picture together. Maybe next time.
It was enlightening to listen to the crews’ opinion that Val Kilmer is the strangest
actor in Hollywood.
I just hope Bay does’nt mess up the The Transformers movie too bad.
This a .2 michaelpixel shot from my mobile phone. That’s Bay with his arms crossed.
Yah, that’s the lear jet he flew in on.
