thunder claps and lightning flash
and boiling smoke and fear
ground quakes, earth heaves
the God of all is near
a people hides their eyes
while one man lifts up his
some back away and tremble
two approach the One who Is
and he talks with God to His face
just like i'd talk with you
and God calls him His friend
and he sees a remarkable view
light shines and face glows
people look away
veil drops, glory hides
darkness til this day.
