I just found out today, that he's got a blue nose.

Once upon a time, as a coffeehappy girl was driving from Barnes/Noble to the 24-hour-Wal-Mart to top off a long day's work with some metro-boulot-dodo (that's French for mundane routine errand-runnings like buying bubble wrap to help ship duplicated sermon CDs and purchasing Love and Thunder for her friend Mike's belated Easter present -- hope he doesn't read this before she gets it to him -- and picking up some supergreat gel pens for only $.84 per 2 and rifling through tackleboxes in search of the perfect film-and-filter-and-battery-carrying-case), she flipped the radio station because she wasn't hearing what she needed to hear, and lo and behold, on came NPR.
That's right. 89.5 out of Northern Illinois University in Dekalb. National Public Radio -- "where you learn something new everyday." And there was music and it was beautiful music for a coffeehappy girl en route to metro-boulot-dodo at the whitebright noisy-floorcleaners-in-every-stinking-aisle Wal-Mart. And do you know...the NPRist interviewed the artist. And wouldn't you know...OKAY COMPUTER is music. It's either the group or the album name, the coffeehappy girl had to get out of the car before she could find that out.
What that has to do with Kammer's blue nosed hey-you box, the girl may never know. But what she knows of OKAY COMPUTER, she got from NPR, "where you learn something new everyday" and then stay up even honking later to blog a stupid commemorative comment.
The end.
It was a document of turn-of-the-century technological anxiety. Of losing oneself in the chicken-wire of cables, clicks, synapses, keys, buzzes, of the ever growing cyber-age.
I wouldn't say "it's a job that slowly kills me"
and all my bruises heal.
But I guess "for a minute there...well...I lost myself"
(Insert collective boo right here.)
That was about 7 years ago actually...wow.
