An Exodus

CamdenOverlook.JPG

Here is an official announcement. Vanessa and I are leaving Greenville at the beginning of August and are headed to Camden, Maine. I will be the assistant to the Pastor/ Youth Pastor at Cornerstone Baptist Church. This will be a part time position, so I will be designing a good bit as well. My last day at the Press will be July 30th.

Vanessa and I are very excited as we take this step. I have found that God is so lovingly persistent in his quest to work His perfect will in our lives. It is an incredible privilege and joy to be in the very center of that will. Please pray for us if you think of it. I do not know many of you, but you've been a spiritual encouragement already in your many comments and posts.

Any contributions before the throne of God on our behalf would be very much appreciated.

I am sure of this, that He who started a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. Philippians 1:6

Wow! That's a beautiful area. They say New England is a tough field. May the Lord be your strength.

While ministry may be your goal, you can expect your marriage to grow with such a step of faith--the long move and all. We've made two big moves, and while I hate moving, both moves are precious memories.

Yes it is very beautiful. The little harbor you see directly behind us is Camden. Thanks for the encouraging words.

Micah that is awesome. You must keep us updated.

And by the way, I've met both you and your wife at a going away party for Ryan T's girlfriend...such a small world. :)

We're from Cornerstone but we're in exile (we're missionaries with a group based in Grand Rapids, Michigan) so we're envious. We miss our church so much while we're gone. You'll love it there (not that we're biased). We heard you had been called and had hoped to meet you at BJU - Birch is teaching there the 3rd week of August. But it looks like you'll already be gone. Look forward to meeting you next March.

Micah,

Praise the Lord, buddy. My heart leaps for you. I'm sure you are scared out of your mind at your own strength, but remember, our God is bigger than our fears.

PS 29:11
May the LORD give strength to his people!
May the LORD bless his people with peace!

Miss you all at the press...but hey, I got to see 20 kids turn to Christ last week.

Birch and Connie: Thank you for the warm welcome. I look forward to meeting you both.

Jon: Hey man! Good to hear from you. Praise the Lord for what He's doing there for you and glad all is well. Tell your new wife hello for me. :)

Micah, I was just at Cornerstone about 2 weeks ago. Really enjoyed my time there - the people were great and it is really a beautiful part of the woods. Watch out for moose . . .

Wow. I'm quite jealous. If I were actually in your shoes, I think I'd be quite scared. God bless.

Micah,
Sorry to barge into your life, but just was reading up, and I think that it is awsome that you are following the call of God on your life. God will never leave you hangin' :). My name is also Micah Ellis. I am on the west coast of Cali in Los Angeles. I am originally from Colorado. two people with the same name, both serving God most high, on opposite ends of the country. God bless and God speed...
