A couple, maybe two posts ago, I wrote about my whole GA thing. I don't know how to reference back to anything so you'll just have to click some extra buttons to read it again (if you want to, that is).

Anyway, the past few weeks God has just been trying to hammer into my thick skull what contentment really is, what stillness in Him really is. And the passage He has used for this mental reproof is Isaiah 43, which I will post here for your reading enjoyment.

Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine.

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
And through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you;
When you walk through fire you shall not be burned,
And the flame shall not consume you.

For I am the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.
I give Egypt as your ransom, Cush and Seba in exchange for you.

Because you are precious in my eyes, and honored, and I love you,
I give men in return for you, peoples in exchange for your life.

Fear not, for I am with you.

I literally stumbled across this passage last summer when a stranger gave me a mental slap in the face (long story which will probably be saved to tell in heaven). And since then, our King has been showing me how He keeps every promise He makes. When I read that passage again and again and again through every single thing I have gone through, the promises He makes astounds me.

Because after every single thing, I see more clearly how deep is His love for me.

With these questions about my future and what I am doing in two months, God brings me back to this passage to remind me of that fact. He loves me, and I am His. And my contentment in Him grows even more.
