Very often, when I tell people that I am a professional web designer, they look at me and say, "Wow, you must really love computers!" Little do they know the true reasoning behind my profession.
I first became interested in computers back when I was in 8th grade. A couple of my friends were talking about their computers and the shareware games they were trying. I, honestly, felt left out, so I began asking questions. That desire to learn grew and grew until finally I had learn some basic database admin stuff, some programing stuff, and finally lots of web stuff.
During the past 12 or so years I have been constantly annoyed, frustrated, and occasionally vehement with computers and what they don't do.
I'm sure it has something to do with the fact that human being made them. With each promise we amplify the problem.
I have ideas. Lots of them. Someday they may replace the promises we have now with many more. Something will get in the way I'm sure, and not all the promises will be kept. Perhaps we'll get closer. Perhaps not.
I guess we'll have to wait and see.
