Where do you spend most of you day? On the basic stuff, or the difficult? :)

When I get to pick, on the difficult.
When I'm in a hurry or just need to do something, on the basic stuff.

Everything's fine and dandy until I decide to stretch my arms a bit. Then I find the glass ceiling, walls, floor, shelves, foot stools, etc. It's a nice view from in here--lots of promise...

ubuntu 6.06 + automatix = easy as pie 99% of the time

I thought ubuntu did a nice job addressing issues from the previous release. It seems to run quite a bit faster, and w/ automatix you get all the font/media support you need. setting up web dev environments went smoothly, and doing other basic tasks is not a problem.

but I grant you it was trickier than necessary stopping my monitor from turning off every 10 minutes. no gui option for that...
