We're human and Adam's descendants, we're going to choose wrongly, whether we determine to do so or not. Yeah, there are time when we do choose correctly.
But this song is talking about how we respond to God working in our life. When the world is all "as it should be" or when the darkness closes in - What do you do? Are you depressed, angry, or sad, about your circumstances? Or are you joyful, content, and bless God for your circumstances? Phillipians 4:12
We CHOOSE to bless the Lord.
Does that make sense? And please understand, I'm not shooting down what you said. I think that this is what the song is communicating. I may be wrong.
