more to come...sooner or later
I already have an Interlinear KJV Parallel NT with the Textus Receptus. I have Nestle-Aland 27th ed. but only on my computer. It is pretty difficult to search, and I have had to print various passages to study. I think an interlinear translation will help me too. This is Nestle's 21st ed. but I think this will do fine for now. If you have thoughts or suggestions though, I'd be glad to hear them.
And I am seriously thinking about this. Although David and I talked briefly about my getting the introductory Greek books from Bob Jones.
Update: I just looked at the Campus Store and it looks like they offer BJU's Greek book right over the Internet. Pretty cool.
Posted by micah on November 16, 2004 12:49 PMunless we're thinking of something different, i teach out of the bju greek syllabi book for greek I and II, and like it for that level (i.e., the goal to test into a more advanced greek course once he hits college). however, mounce's book has been highly recommended to me by reliable sources at dbts and bju.
i also have machen's first year book, which is old (my dad used it at bju), but good. got mine on ebay and half.com.
I think we are thinking of the same bju greek syllabi. I put my link on "Campus Store" instead of the "greek book" part (now corrected). It takes you to a description and picture. Not that one is obligated to follow my links, of course.
I have a vocabulary study program for Mounce's chapters. It is a flashcard-like program, but useful. I'm assuming though that Bascis is the book it is linked to because it starts with the Greek alphabet.
