attempt
After Stephanie's beautiful attempt at drawing (see also this post), I feel encouraged to post my first attempt. I saw this picture on a website and tried to draw it. I've never drawn anything before, so you can imagine I was pleased that one can tell it is actually an elephant...with a mohawk, but yes, an elephant.
Posted by micah on July 16, 2004 07:46 PMHill: i like the mohawk! it looks like ben's hair right now. he he he.
Ben:WHAT!!!
Gwen: totally cool.
Steph: Now THAT was original, Gwen. "It's so neat!" Really. We love it. Wish you could have been here for Chinese :)
Ben: Somebody should cut my hair...
...or the elephant's. ;)
BTW, where'd you find that photo?
Oh, I found it at a site that is supposed to help you learn how to draw step by step. So my achievement isn't that spectacular. I didn't trace it though. ;)
I wish I could be there eating chinese with you. Maybe I could get a haircut too. Oh and tea: earl grey, hot.
Posted by: micah at July 16, 2004 08:45 PMSorry,
we had tea: ginger, hot.
And no haircuts.
Just wishful thinking.
And some molting.
I do think there was some molting.
"Lemme 'splain. No, no. Too long. Lemme sum up..."
There was *no* molting.
My words were misconstrued this evening a number of times.
I think at the time I was talking about blackberries...
Don't know how these things happen.
"Big Lady...."
That one wasn't intentional either.
Anyway.
There is much wisdom in enunciation.

you two crack me up. be good.
Posted by: micah at July 16, 2004 11:13 PMi really think that ben should learn to speak up. good thing he married a speech major. =) love ya ben!
Posted by: hill at July 16, 2004 11:15 PMok. splanation of the "molting" thing. i was half burried in blackberry bushes (thorns and all) when i heard an "ouch!" then followed right behind that was an "i'm molting!" which ben says he said "i'm ok" but i am positive that i heard molting. so there.
Posted by: hill at July 16, 2004 11:17 PMand since my feet were shod only with flip-flops and tropical scented OFF, I stood by demurely holding my little earthenware bowl filled with about 6 dime sized blackberries and laughing at hill who was being eaten alive by the blackberry bush.
Posted by: gwen at July 17, 2004 10:52 AMDemurely?
I distinctly heard a guffaw (or three) coming from the general direction of Gwendolyn. Demurely. Ha.
So JBo, any more attempts recently?
