Type is Beautiful

The designer speaks.

Call me weird, but I enjoy type. I really like type. Say what you will, it's just a bunch of letters, whatever, but not to me. These "just letters" are beautifully crafted masterpieces of design. So, that is why I drooled over these gorgeous fonts.

Typographica - Favorite Fonts of 2004

I'm really liking FF Absara. It has a Clarendon-esque quality that I just love.

Which is your favorite...and why?

It's Here!

Machine Model: Power Mac G4
CPU Type: PowerPC G4 (2.1)
Number Of CPUs: 2
CPU Speed: 1 GHz
Memory: 512 MB
Bus Speed: 133 MHz
RAM Size: 512 MB
DVDRW-CDRW

Our dual 1 Ghz G4 came in Friday afternoon. Amazing. What a boost from the almost dead ibook G3 366mhz that we were on. God provided an amazing deal on it, and it came with a 19" monitor, a huge WACOM tablet and pen, film and graphics software, and OS 10.3. It was listed in the wrong category on ebay, so I think that is why it didn't get bid up very high. Whatever the case, we had a huge answer to prayer this week.

--yup, we are pretty pumped!

Settlers of Catan

If you haven't ever played the game Settlers of Catan, you are missing out. It won board game of the year in 1996 in Germany and in 1997, it won the same in the states. Amazingly addicting, I find myself thinking, when am I going to get to play Settlers again?

A MUST CLICK FOR CATANERS! For gameplay variatians: University of Catan

Here is a review of the game: The Games Cabinet

Buy it Here: Cool Stuff Inc.

Great for fellowshipping and playing at the same time. I can't say enough about this game!
